RESPONSIBILITIES | ACCOUNTABILITIES
As a member of our senior leadership team, our VP of Financial Planning amp; Analysis will provide executive analysis and reporting of financial and operational performance metrics to support strategic planning and investment strategies as we grow.
The VP, FPamp;A is accountable for:
- Leading the long-term strategic planning process, developing models and analyses to guide key business initiatives and investments; advising executive leadership on capital allocation decisions, including investments and acquisitions; leading special projects as needed and providing financial expertise to support company-wide initiatives
- Directing and overseeing the annual financial budgeting and regular forecasting processes, ensuring accurate, timely, and insightful financial projections; Drive improvements with financial systems, tools, and processes, ensuring scalability and agility in a dynamic business environment
- Advising and collaborating with department leaders to translate business activities into financial insights and strategy that drive operational efficiency and profitability; identifying and assessing potential financial risks and opportunities, and advising leadership on appropriate action steps.
- Coaching and developing the FPamp;A team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement; overseeing monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting and financial reporting activities
- Modeling our values, embracing our company culture, and pitching in where and when needed as we continue to grow
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Experience / Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA preferred
- 15+ years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role and including prior experience working for a small or mid-size, rapidly growing, private company
- Proficiency with financial systems and in financial modeling, data analysis, and the ability to see beyond the numbers to provide actionable recommendations
- Advanced knowledge of GAAP accounting and reporting
- Inventory accounting experience
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information in an easy-to-understand manner
- Demonstrated effectiveness as a leader with a track record of leading and developing high-performing teams
- A strategic thinker with impeccable analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for building
Preferred Experience:
- Prior experience executing and integrating acquisitions and Mamp;A transactions in general is highly desired
- ERP implementation experience preferred
