Quality Assurance Specialist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated quality technician to join our team in the tortilla manufacturing industry. As a quality technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in our tortilla production process. Your keen eye for detail and commitment to excellence will contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional tortilla products to our valued customers. Shifts Available:
2-day shift positions 6:00AM to 6:15PM
312 hour shifts one week, and 412 hour shifts the second week.
Shift One: Sunday through Tuesday and every other Wednesday.
Shift two: Thursday through Saturday and every other Wednesday.
Pay: $15.00-$22.00 Pay: per hour, depending on experience
$1500 sign-on bonus! (paid 180 days after the start date)
Essential Functions:
Conduct regular inspections and quality checks on tortilla production, including raw materials, mixing, baking, packaging, and final products.
Perform sensory evaluations and laboratory tests to assess the taste, texture, appearance, and overall quality of tortilla products.
Record and analyze quality control data, test results, and any deviations from standards.
Identify and address any quality-related issues, working closely with production teams to implement corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality control standards.
Contribute to the maintenance of accurate documentation and records related to quality control activities.
Requirements
Required Skills and Abilities:-
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in quality control or a related field is a plus.
Proven experience as a quality technician, preferably in the food manufacturing industry
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to conduct precise sensory evaluations and laboratory tests.
Basic understanding of quality control tools and techniques.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently.
Familiarity with quality management systems and documentation practices is desirable.
Passion for tortilla products and a commitment to delivering the highest quality to customers.
