About the Role:
The Solaria Engineering team works closely with Solaria Labs, Liberty Mutual’s global incubation hub, to deliver innovative solutions for leading problems in the insurance industry. This internship will involve designing and implementing software solutions to solve complex problems. The intern will also use development skills to develop and demonstrate disruptive and transformational products as part of an agile development team.
As a Fortune 100 company, we have a lot of data to work with and opportunities to improve the lives of thousands of employees and hundreds of thousands of customers. This internship offers the chance to build custom algorithms, dig into data for insights, build engaging interfaces, and sharpen emerging technology skills. The intern will be greatly supported by a senior engineer on the team.
This team uses a mix of technologies and tools: JavaScript, Python, Java, git, bamboo, AWS, GraphQL, relational databases, kubernetes, Strapi cms.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- You’re working towards a degree in a technical discipline or equivalent training and certifications
- You have a proven track record of academic success
- You are fully authorized to work in the U.S. without restrictions now or in the future
- You are familiar with various IT concepts, strategies, and methodologies
- You have a general knowledge of design and development tools
- You’re fluent with at least one or more object-oriented software development languages
- You are passionate about learning and growing your technical skillset
