Job Description

Seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for HUMINT collection and collection management to support the Intelligence Community (IC) in Northern Virginia.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review documents related to policy, budget, acquisition, and operations for HUMINT collection and provide assessments of these documents and the impacts to collection efforts.
  • Required to develop, contribute to, edit, and staff products related to HUMINT collection for senior policy makers to include the DNI and Congress. These products may include, but are not limited to reports, talking points, presentations, and studies.
  • Required to provide expert advice to senior leaders on issues related to HUMINT collection, supported by thorough analysis of the given situation and where appropriate an analysis of the various responses to the issue.
  • Support decision makers and special projects on HUMINT collection management issues to include the preparation, production, and coordination of written products and briefings for senior IC members, policy makers, military decision makers, and members of Congress.
  • Expected to build and maintain working relationships with counterparts in their field throughout the Intelligence Community.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in HUMINT collection (clandestine and/or overt) and collection support and an in-depth understanding of the policies and collection processes associated with that area.
  • BA degree and 12 15 years of prior relevant experience or Master’s with 10 13 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with the IC and its components, as well as its missions, disciplines, capabilities, and interrelationships.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with senior leaders from inside and outside the USG, and to coordinate, network, and communicate across the IC.
