Summary:
As a key member of the Quality team, the Document Control Specialist is responsible for the administration of all documents within the Quality System. This position performs support tasks relating to the maintenance of the document control system as well as other general tasks needed to support overall product and documentation quality.
Essential Duties amp; Responsibilities:
- Manages release and control of updates to instructions, procedures, drawings and other documents.
- Controls distribution of new releases and recall/destruction of obsolete documents.
- Facilitates execution of discrepant material reports, corrective action reports and engineering change documents.
- Proof read all change documents for correctness, spelling, punctuation and general accuracy.
- Support the records management and retention.
- Prepare periodic status reports.
- Accurately sort, file, mail and copy critical / vital records.
- Accurately input data in a database / spreadsheet and provide reports as requested.
- Copies documents, using office-duplicating equipment.
- Oversees Internal Audit process
- Ensures new hire and yearly training is conducted in a timely manner, maintains the training database.
Requirements
Education amp; Experience:
- Associate’s Degree in science or business administration required.
- 5 years prior experience in maintenance of document control systems preferred.
- Demonstrated experience working with others to achieve team goals.
- Demonstrated exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
- Experience in quality system audits preferred.
- Desire to own decisions and take responsibility for outcomes.
- Willingness to continually embrace personal and professional development.
Other Requirements:
- This is an on-site position. Must be available to work at the 900 Mount Laurel Circle, Shirley, MA location.
- Must be a US Person.
