Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
- Collaborate with the executive team to develop and manage annual budgets.
- Provide financial forecasts and analyses to support strategic decision-making.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and identify opportunities for professional development.
- Utilize industry-specific knowledge to optimize financial processes for Professional Services projects.
- Work closely with project managers to ensure accurate project costing and profitability analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an accounting manager or senior-level experience, preferably in a professional services environment.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
- Experience with accounting and timekeeping software; Deltek/Ajera software is highly desirable
- MS Office Suite experience.
- Multi-tasking and organizational abilities.
- Experience tracking corporate KPIs.
- Experience documenting and monitoring accounting policies.
