Job Description

The Program Manager, Social Services is responsible for day-to-day operations of the CitySquare AmeriCorps program, primarily as it relates to our members serving with social services-focused host sites (organizations that provide case management and resource referrals for vulnerable adults and youth). These responsibilities include providing member support and assistance in the coordination and implementation of AmeriCorps recruitment efforts, trainings, events, and service projects. The Program Manager will conduct interviews with applicants, determine best fit with host sites in the portfolio and coordinate host site member selection and position onboarding. He/She/They will provide on the ground engagement to the host site supervisors and members serving in the program including site visits and ongoing performance management coaching. The Program Manger will oversee the progress of members, ensure members comply with established policies and procedures, and work closely with members and supervisors to ensure the successful completion of their term of service. The Program Manager will assess the ongoing needs of members, provide training and mentoring, and work with the Senior Director to address non-compliance or performance concerns. The Program Manager will be the direct liaison with CitySquare AmeriCorps Host Site Supervisors. They are responsible for assisting the Senior Director with the department’s annual operating budget and outcomes reporting.

Requirements

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.

Experience: Two (2) years of experience in a direct service or supervisory capacity, non-profit/government/education setting preferred. AmeriCorps service or experience preferred.

Additional Requirements: Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Able to satisfactorily pass a criminal history check to include sex offer registry, Texas and FBI.

Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for day-to-day operations of the CitySquare AmeriCorps program.
  2. Assist Senior Director with data collection within Social Services host sites for mid-year and annual program and financial reporting.
  3. Work cooperatively with team members to manage:
    1. Host site selection and evaluation, including position description creation and review.
    2. Member recruitment including, but not limited to, job fairs, public speaking, outreach events, member interviews and orientation sessions.
    3. Planning, coordination, and execution of Spring, Summer and Fall Pre-Service Orientation Trainings amp; bi-annual Host Site Supervisor Training.
    4. Member experience, AmeriCorps identity and engagement of more than 300 members serving across multiple site locations.
    5. Member engagement budget throughout the grant year.
  4. Conduct frequent site visits to ensure alignment with regulated AmeriCorps activities.
  5. Provide personalized coaching and support to members and Host Site Supervisors.
  6. Ensure 100% enrollment and retention and exit of members from the program with a positive member experience and all education awards earned.
  7. Serve as primary member liaison and advocate for members serving in the program.
  8. Supervise Program Specialist and support their efforts for grant compliance, NSCHC, file management and event logistics.

SALARY RANGE : $54,000-$57,000
