Job Description

As a Parking Ambassador, you would be crucial to our mission because you would help our patients get where they need to be within our main facility. On any given day, you could ensure there is enough parking so a patient seeing one of our total joint replacement doctors doesn’t have to walk very far when they are in pain. You would be able to give patients rides on our ROC golf cart if they need assistance.

What would you do as a Parking Ambassador?

This position focuses its time and effort on the following duties, though others may be required. You can expect to regularly:

  • Greet patients as they enter the ROC facilities;
  • Direct patients to appropriate service locations within the building and surrounding areas;
  • Safely operate a Low Speed Vehicle/Golf Cart when transporting patients to and from the parking lot;
  • Monitor and direct private and commercial vehicle traffic when necessary;
  • Perform various traffic control responsibilities including preventing vehicles from parking without proper authorizations and issuing parking notices for non-compliant vehicles;
  • Respond to patient questions, concerns and complaints in a timely, courteous and helpful manner;
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality to minimize impacts to clinic staffing schedules.

Requirements

  • Certifications/Education
    • High School Diploma or GED;
    • Valid, unexpired driver's license
  • This position is safety sensitive and therefore is subject to pre-employment drug testing. Incumbents must pass the pre-employment drug test in order to begin employment in this position.

Work Environment

This position operates in an outdoor environment, exposed to very hot or very cold temperatures depending on the weather. Exposure to contaminants such as fumes and gasoline are possible.

Physical: Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods of time. The noise level is usually moderate. This position is safety sensitive and therefore it is subject to pre-employment drug testing and drug testing during employment depending.

Schedule:Schedule may include nights and weekends (Saturday); typical hours of operation are 6:15 am 5 pm, with shifts dependent on manager discretion.
