Job Description

Nominated by our own employees, Corus Health is the proud recipient of Albuquerque's prestigious Top Workplace award for 2019. We are currently seeking a qualified Speech Therapist to provide care for our patients in Valencia County. Under the supervision of the Home Health Director and in accordance with the interdisciplinary plan of care, our therapists evaluate, establish and implement individual programs of care for our patients to increase functional ability and reestablish independence at home.

Duties amp; Responsibilities:

  • To provide services that improve or maintain function in support of the rehabilitation goals defined by the patient’s plan of care in accordance with physicians' orders and therapist assessments.
  • Instructs interdisciplinary team members concerning patient’s speech therapy program.
  • Maintains records and reports in accordance with the company policies.
  • Assists physician in determining patient’s specific abilities and disabilities.
  • Makes ongoing evaluations of the patient’s condition and progress and the effectiveness of the treatment program. Notes evaluations on patient’s medical record.
  • Demonstrates understanding of and actively participates in CQI.
  • Practices and actions reflect the CQI recommendations and organization-wide policies and procedures.
  • Takes responsibility for maintaining accountability in job performance and for improving job knowledge and skills.
  • Supports company’s philosophy, goals, objectives, mission, vision and values.
  • Accept other assignments as appropriate.

Requirements

Skills amp; Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited university, certified by the American Speech and Hearing
  • Current New Mexico State license
  • Two years work experience in a clinical environment preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Detailed documentation
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a interdisciplinary team
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable, insured transportation
  • Willingness to travel in greater Albuquerque area
