Job Description

This is an exciting time to work for Amarillo College! We are seeking our next Full-Time Data Analyst Specialist who will be all-in on our mission and who will be responsible for data entry into systems like TEAMS and MyOneFlow, conducting advanced analysis of complex data. Able to handle project management relating to the purchase and integration of third-party platforms into current or new business processes.

This is a Grant Funded position. Continued employment is contingent on grant funding.

Requirements

EDUCATION

Required: Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Technology or Data Analytics

EXPERIENCE

Required: Two (2) years of experience in data analytics or data entry setting.

Preferred: Four (4) years of experience in data analytics, data entry and Structured Query Language (SQL) Programming.

JOB DUTIES amp; RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Input data entry into multiple complex systems including TEAMS and MyOneFlow.
  • Integrate third-party platforms and develop custom integrations
  • Map data across systems and debug issues.
  • Develop and utilize complex spreadsheet formulas, including arrays, lambda expressions, and queries across multiple interconnected documents.
  • Collect, clean and validate data.
  • Identify trends through statistical and machine learning techniques.
  • Design data systems and visualizations.
  • Communicate technical findings to stakeholders.
  • Complete supervisory responsibilities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS amp; ABILITIES
  • Ability to multitask and enter data and stay on top of grant expectations concerning data.
  • Ability to have computer skills and work on a computer for long periods of time.
  • Ability to write and understand codes; specifically, Python, R or SAS for data analysis.
  • Ability to use Excel or Google Sheets Formulas amp; Macros,
  • Ability to understand query languages for relational or non-relational databases.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to complete projects, requiring minimal oversight.
  • Ability to work with sensitive information that requires maintaining strict data privacy and security protocols.
  • Ability to have hands-on experience with statistical analysis, data mining, modeling and database management.
  • Ability to cross-reference data across systems with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to compile, analyze and interpret complex datasets, identify trends and insights, and clearly communicate key findings to stakeholders.
  • Ability to have attention to detail and quality to avoid errors when handling important company and customer data.

Salary: Amarillo College - Salary Schedules (actx.edu), Pay grade 9 (salary is determined by Human Resources based on education, work experience and internal comparisons).

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to travel between offices and buildings, and requires the ability to lift, carry, push, pull and/or maneuver office supplies as needed.

Working Conditions: Must be willing to work a flexible schedule (days, nights, weekends, holidays, and varying events if necessary.)

Work Environment: This position operates in a professional office environment, routinely uses standard office equipment (i.e. computers, phones, copy and fax machines, filing cabinets) and is in a high traffic area with continual interruptions. Software commonly used includes Microsoft Office, Colleague, and various other educational applications. Work may also be performed outside of the office and with little to no supervision.
