Position Overview:


Zenni is looking to hire a Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FPamp;A). The role will report to the Vice President of Finance and have significant exposure to the CEO and other executives. The Director of FPamp;A will develop a 360-degree view of Zenni and be responsible for budgeting, financial oversight, and planning for all business units. This role is highly visible and will interact frequently with the C-Level executives and various business leaders across the company.

A successful candidate will have a strong background in finance and strategy, demonstrate a collaborative approach to problem solving, provide an excellent analytical toolkit, and be passionate about Zenni’s mission of making eyewear affordable and accessible. Experience in high-growth e-commerce companies, financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, and / or management consulting are preferred.

What you’ll be doing at Zenni:

  • Build and manage a world-class, data-first, FPamp;A team. 
  • Lead cross-functional projects, working closely with the Data Analytics team, to develop accurate forecasts. 
  • Perform gap analyses and report out on company performance to update stakeholders and inform decision making. 
  • Fully operationalize FPamp;A business systems including budgeting and planning tools like Planful and streamline reports off systems like NetSuite ERP.
  • Design unit economic models, operating expense allocation frameworks, profit and loss statements, and forecasts for products and business lines. 
  • Work directly with executives and business leaders to support a variety of special projects, one-off analyses, product changes, and investment decisions. 
  • Drive impact at scale, and recruit and manage high-performing finance professionals that also take a data-first approach. 

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
    • Advanced knowledge of corporate finance, forecasting
    • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and solve challenging problems using hypothesis-driven approaches that are supported by data.
    • Strong executive-level communications, including ability to summarize information and effectively communicate to financial and non-financial audiences. 
    • Experience navigating ambiguity of blue-sky thinking and undefined business problems. 
    • Commitment to building inclusive teams and team culture

Preferred Qualifications:

    • An MBA or equivalent experience.
    • 8+ years of experience including experience in FPamp;A, investment banking, management consulting, strategic finance, or similar roles. 
    • Experience in a high-growth e-commerce environment; capable of prioritizing and executing many projects at once 
    • Experience with financial planning tools (e.g. Planful), Tableau, and ERPs (e.g. NetSuite).

As of 01/01/2024, the expected annual compensation range for this position is $180-280K. Actual pay within this range will be based upon several factors, including without limitation education, work experience, certifications, geographic pay differentials, market conditions, and other business and organizational needs. The Company anticipates that the reasonably expected salary for this position could change in the future and, therefore, the Company retains the right to change, modify, or revisit the salary range for the position for various reasons, including the business needs.
