Description: Due to continued growth we are currently seeking to add a Sr. Systems Administrator to our team! Sr. System Administrators at Charles IT primarily serve as the top tier of technical escalations and are the architects of custom client projects, while performing the job functions below.
Day-to-day responsibilities
- Design, implement and support cloud infrastructure
- Provide support and troubleshooting to resolve technical issues for end users
- Support of Microsoft-related technologies: Windows Server, Office 365/Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, etc.
- Support of virtual environments including VMware and Hyper-V
- Support backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Configure, install, and support various network devices and services, including WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, amp; security
- Liaise with third-party vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
- Effectively communicate with customers on ticket progress, impending changes, or agreed outages, etc.
- Maintain strong client system documentation to include system reviews and recommendations
- Maintain daily documentation by entering time, expenses, and all work as service tickets in ConnectWise
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the IT field
- MCSE 2012/2016 or VCP 6/6.5 certification plus
- 7+ Years of experience in the IT field is preferred
- Experience with Cisco, Meraki, Datto, VMware, Office 365, platform, and Advanced Support on Mac OS a plus
- AWS or Azure experience a plus
- Superior communication skills required
- Ability to multi-task and function collaboratively as a member of a client-orientated
- Enthusiastic and dedicated to the challenges of a growing company and client base
- Excellent follow-through to see tasks through completion
- High level of organization; strong attention to detail
