Overview of the Opportunity
An internship on the Bitsight analytics team is a great way to learn about corporate strategy in a fast paced, dynamic, and data driven startup environment. This internship is fully remote but you are welcome to come work in our Boston office. The team is usually here 1 to 2 days a week.
Bitsight’s Business Intelligence and Analytics team is responsible for building a Data Warehouse and KPIs as well as conducting analysis in order to provide insights to different departments of the organization. The team uses a suite of best in class tools including Snowflake, Looker, dbt, Fivetran and Hightouch.
The Excellence You Deliver:
- Working with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Sales, Marketing and Engineering teams to support their data needs
- Collaborates with business teams to improve data models that feed business intelligence tools, increasing data accessibility and fostering data-driven decision-making across the organization
- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines for optimal extraction, loading, and transformation of data from various sources using a modern data stack
- Implement processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring production data is always accurate and available for key stakeholders and business processes that depend on it.
- Analyze data sets using statistical techniques and effectively communicate trends and patterns that enhance the opportunities for the business
- Build dashboards and reports for key stakeholders
- Perform data analysis required to troubleshoot data-related issues and assist in the resolution of data issues
Requirements
Qualifications
- Knowledge of SQL
- Ability to pick up new concepts and ideas is more important than mastery of a specific language or tool
- Results driven
- Ability to work independently yet collaboratively in a dynamic startup environment.
- Team-oriented.

Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Python
- Familiarity building reports and dashboards using tools like Tableau, Looker, Power BI, etc
- Familiarity in data warehousing, data modeling, building data pipelines, and data visualizations.
- Familiarity with Snowflake, Redshift, or comparable MPP data warehouse solutions
- Familiarity with ETL tools
