Job Description

Background
Boston Seaport is in search of an energetic and motivated Associate Manager to join the neighborhood’s growing marketing team. The Seaport marketing team works with determination and enthusiasm to further the perception of the Seaport brand, establishing the neighborhood as 1) the most sought-after retail destination in the city of Boston, 2) a rapidly expanding arts, food, and cultural hub, and 3) a national hub for life sciences and technology companies. The associate manager role is an opportunity to contribute to the many different functions of marketing and communications for the dynamic Boston Seaport neighborhood.

Overview

The Associate Manager will work to further WS’s efforts to build a connected, activated neighborhood that is deeply committed to evolution and innovation, from both a community and retail perspective.

The Seaport Marketing team is responsible for driving traffic to the Boston Seaport neighborhood in support of portfolio leasing efforts, tenant openings and success, brand partnerships, cultural and community programming, and neighborhood development. In addition, this team owns and manages neighborhood-wide marketing assets such as the Bostonseaport.xyz website and all @seaportbos social channels. As well, we manage all creative asset development and communications for our initiatives.

Key Position Accountabilities could include:

  • Manage and execute unique community programs and Seaport’s involvement in existing programs from start to finish
  • Assist in day-of event set up, check-in, and execution on both large- and small-scale events
  • Brainstorm new ideas for activations, programs, and marketing initiatives
  • Assist in collecting anecdotes and analytics from events and programs, using learnings to develop and refine programs and inform new concepts
  • Attend neighborhood community events at retailers, museums and more to represent the Marketing team
  • Brainstorm unique/impactful ways to drive tenant sales and neighborhood involvement
  • Assist in managing neighborhood amenities that require maintenance and visual support
  • Manage neighborhood Ambassador program through training on new programs
  • Oversee the processing of all invoices related to Associate Manager’s scope; ensure that marketing spend remains within program budgets
  • Schedule and maintain calendar invitations for key internal and external team meetings; capture meeting notes and circulate recaps as needed
  • Be a cheerleader for all things Seaport!

Education amp; Experience

  • College degree with 2-5 years of related experience within a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in events, hospitality, marketing, or a service industry required
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
