Our CommuniLux team is looking for a detailed oriented Production Painter to join the team. As a Production Painter, you will be responsible for prepping and painting custom fabricated scenic components as they move through the production process.

Essential Duties amp; Responsibilities

- Assisting in the prepping and painting of scenic elements.

- Operate an airless sprayer, HVLP gravity feed spray gun as well as brush and roller applications of required finishes.

- Maintenance and cleaning of work area and tools as needed to maintain an orderly and safe workplace.

- Work quickly and efficiently, suggesting ways to improve the workflow of the paint department.

- Assure and maintain a safe working environment.

- Full time and Part time positions available

Requirements

- Prior experience as production painter in a scene shop, or custom fabrication facility.

- Must have reliable transportation.

- Must possess a high attention to detail.

- Experience in reading shop drawings.

- Experience with latex paint, stain, and clear coat applications.

- Attend employee meetings as needed.

- Ability to work 8+ hours and overtime when necessary.

- Willingness to assist other departments when needed.

Education Qualifications

High school diploma

While performing duties of this job, would occasionally be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk and hear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools or controls.
