Job Description

Bergen Logistics, an innovator in the logistics space, is looking for a Business Development Manager to nurture and grow existing business as well as bringing in additional new business. We are a fast paced, high volume company and we are seeking a candidate that enjoys working in an exciting and fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills are a must along with a sense of urgency. This position requires collaboration between multiple departments within the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate new business prospects
  • Draft responses to the request for proposals (RFPs), customized pitches and business development presentations.
  • Present new products and services to existing clients and potential leads.
  • Conduct, as needed, onsite partner visits, tours amp; online system demo to finalize and/or support ongoing client needs.
  • Act as a knowledge center resource on products, services, processes, and internal operations, all designed to increase new client applications.
  • Develop relationships with key accounts to negotiate profitable business terms
  • Participate in account planning and forecasting activities
  • Attend relevant trade shows
  • Work closely with the pricing team to draft new contracts with the ability to negotiate client leads
  • Other responsibilities as they are assigned from time to time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Solid understanding of client services industry.
  • Track record of growing revenue.
  • Adeptly explains features, benefits, and technical aspects of the full-service line.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed performance goals.
  • Ability to leverage strong business development skills and maintain an aggressive desire to grow business.
  • Prefer experience using a CRM but not required
  • Experience in the logistics or fashion industry is a plus
