We are looking for a rock-star Cost Accountant who is detailed oriented, organized, and is excited about improving business processes. This role will be responsible for the overall financial management of inventory for the company which involves the ongoing analysis of process constraints, target costing projects, margin analysis, and tracking costs back to underlying activities. Responsibilities will involve defining and maintaining cost accounting systems, meeting deadlines for processing information, answering questions and financial reporting requirements.Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the accurate valuation of inventory across the company.
  • Ensure all inventory-related balance sheet accounts are reconciled every month.
  • Possess the ability to analyze inventory trends and the potential impact on the Company’s operating performance.
  • Perform monthly analyses related to Landed Cost and other inventory adjustment types.
  • The candidate should demonstrate a proactive attitude and capability to collaborate regularly across various functions. Additionally, they must exhibit the ability to work independently, consistently provide support to our Cost Accounting customers, influence diverse audiences, and effectively lead projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance required with 2+ years of cost accounting or similar experience.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, accounting principles, internal controls, financial reporting and MS Office, especially MS Excel.
  • Ability to develop, improve, document and follow processes to provide high-quality deliverables while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Understands the team concept and has a strong desire to be a contributing teammate.
The position is eligible for company shares. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s job duties, experience, and expertise.
