Scope of Duties

Every Caregiver we hire embodies our mission to provide the gold standard of care for individuals across locations. As a member of our Caregiving Staff, your duties could include some or all of the following:

    • Provide high-level support to the Office and its Clients.
    • Provide vital Caregiving responsibilities, including covering emergency call-out shifts with Clients, including those with critical care needs.
    • Provide mentoring and training to Caregivers, assisting with the onboarding process for new team members to ensure quality, assess skill levels/abilities, and complete training.
    • Complete all assigned Client shifts and/or supervisory site visits including Critical Care Clients
    • Drop off/pick up monthly MARs for medication Clients
    • Maintain open and consistent communication with the Office
    • Attend and contribute to attend Office’s Quarterly Quality Improvement Meetings as Caregiver representative
    • Work with the Regional Administrative Nurse as needed in whatever capacity is authorized and required
    • Assist with transfers, mobility requirements, or assistive devices (walking, standing, sitting, cane, walker, crutches)
    • Personal care and grooming assistance (hair and facial hair, dental care, dressing) and pet care when authorized
    • Bathing and toileting activities (assist on and off commode, safe transfers in/out of the shower/bath, depends )
    • Meal preparation, including special diets (plan, shop for, cook, serve, clean up)
    • Client shopping and/or errands (groceries, prescription pick up, mail pick up, etc) when authorized
    • Housekeeping (sweeping, mopping, cleaning bathrooms and kitchen, changing bed linens, laundry)
    • Provide transportation to and from clinic, hospital, physical therapist when appropriate and authorized
    • Provide medication reminders, medication administration, or when delegated, nursing-related tasks
    • Companionship activities, such as conversation, movies, playing cards, crafts, puzzles, coloring, etc
    • Record visit notes and working hours via electronic software and report any significant changes to the Office

Requirements

  • CNA Preferred
  • Be available to work 40+ hours, cover emergency or last-minute fill-in shifts with Critical Care Clients
  • Be available to work anywhere within the service area of the office
  • Be available to work at any time - including on nights/weekends and for 40+ hrs
  • Ability to assist with transfers, mobility requirements, or assistive devices (walking, standing, sitting, cane, walker, crutches) 
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Dedication to reliability and compassionate care of Clients
  • Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and valid auto insurance
