Our partner in Arlington, VA, is seeking a Director, Marketing Insights. The role involves supporting the leadership position through data analysis and insights generation to optimize marketing strategies. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this position requires managing a team to collect relevant data and deliver actionable insights for enhancing marketing campaigns and overall business performance.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement customer-focused marketing insights strategies and plans
- Build and lead a team focused on marketing analytics, market research, and competitive intelligence
- Assess insights usage across markets and establish standards and best practices
- Lead collection, analysis, and interpretation of marketing data including customer behavior and campaign performance
- Aggregate internal data for cross-channel reporting efforts
- Set internal data measurement guidelines for quality and accuracy
- Translate data into actionable insights for marketing strategy and decision-making
- Design and implement market research initiatives for customer feedback and competitive intelligence
- Establish and maintain customer segmentation models
- Monitor competitor and market activities for opportunities and threats
- Collaborate with other Marketing functions and teams for alignment and execution of strategies
- Create regular and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and presentations communicating key insights
- Stay updated with data analytics and digital tools for enhancing efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, statistics, data science, analytics, computer science, or related field; MBA preferred
- 15+ years of marketing analytics or market research experience in a global organization
- Preferably experience in the energy or relevant business-to-business industry
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
- Strategic problem-solving abilities with strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in marketing tools and analytics platforms
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and modeling techniques
- Leadership and team management experience
