The Senior Business Development Manager, Americas, is a senior level business development role focused on driving TransferMate’s commercial strategy within the Software Solutions Vertical. The role will be focused on providing innovative and embedded Domestic and Cross Border payment solutions across the vertical. The successful candidate will be tasked with building out a long-term strategy to grow revenue amp; market share across this vertical within the Americas, through the identification, onboarding and monetization of, Supply Chain Finance, Source-To-Pay, Accounts Payable and Billing, Marketplace and Expenses Solution Providers initially. TransferMate’s goal is to build out End-To-End expertise in this vertical, building on the significant successes to date with leaders such as SAP and Coupa.

Objective:

  • Build out a global strategy to capture aggressive market share in this vertical, in the Americas ahead of our competition.
  • Work in partnership with the Global Vertical Lead and own the execution of the business acquisition strategy for TransferMate in the region.
  • Deliver a seamless and frictionless prospect experience to identify, prospect, sign, and onboard clients.
  • Build and leverage all relationships across the vertical.
  • Drive large, strategic, multi-product, complex business opportunities.
  • Identifying new market opportunities and partnerships for TransferMate to expand into within this broad vertical.
  • Build and manage a strong, relevant, and sustainable pipeline to deliver on $1m+ annual revenue targets.
  • Accurately forecast your business in the Americas in conjunction with the vertical lead.
  • Deliver high quality personalised and relevant product pitches to potential partners/clients.
  • Become a subject-matter expert on TM and the vertical, in time, educating the team (Account Management / Relationship Management / Implementation / Product Teams) on key requirements relating to payment requirements, the competitive landscape, local regulations and complimentary partner services for the vertical/region.
  • Leading by example, embodying our core values (Respect, Innovation, Passion, One Team), working in partnership with shared service / sales support functions including but not limited to Marketing, Compliance, Treasury, Product and IT.
  • Proactively identify, escalate, and resolve business and technical issues with partners / clients / internal stakeholders.
  • Offer ongoing education and support to partners / clients about current and future APIs and TransferMate’s evolving product range.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in New Business Sales roles, ideally with experience within Payment, Fintech, Treasury, FX or SaaS Spend Management (Supply Chain Finance, S2P, Marketplaces, Accounts Payable/Billing, Expenses).
  • Relevant experience building out a new business division / vertical.
  • A proven ability to build, lead and drive client partnerships and relationships.
  • A demonstrable track record in delivering sales excellence, achieving and exceeding stretch targets within the large enterprise / strategic partnership environment.
  • A natural self-starter, entrepreneur, ‘intra’-preneur. Happy to self-direct, with high levels of personal motivation to develop new opportunities and support / encourage / motivate all others involved in this process.
  • Experience working and leading within a fast-paced start-up / scale-up environment whilst dealing with a high-degree of ambiguity.
  • Strong commercial focus coupled with creative thinking.
  • A problem solver, not a problem detailer.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation and influencing skills.
  • Familiarity and fluency in technical concepts and associated language.
  • Ability to engage confidently at all levels and business functions, primarily the C-Suite.
