1 Resource Group is hiring for a Shipping/Receiving Clerk for our client that is located on the Northwest side of Houston.
Position Summary
The Shipping/Receiving Clerk works on the daily tasks of the shipping and receiving department as described below.
General Duties
• Promote safe work practices and demonstrate a zero tolerance for non-compliance with safe work practices, policies, and regulations
• Receive material to be shipped from the Quality department
• Receive items from outside sources to be used in production or the office
• Ship finished goods to customers with proper documentation
• Prepare shipping processes through the ERP system
• Process received items in the ERP system for use
• Provide support for the sales department for any customer needs
• Follow QMS and related procedures
Education Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer knowledge
o Excel
o Word
o Outlook
Requirements for Temporary Employees
• Forklift experience
• Shipping/Receiving experience
• Ability to read a tape measure to the 1/16th of an inch
• Be able to read and write English
• Good handwriting skills
• Detail oriented
• Must be organized
• Cleanliness is a must

• Good knowledge of shipping procedures
• Good knowledge of receiving procedures
• Good knowledge of the ERP system’s receiving and shipping modules
• General knowledge of purchase orders
• Excellent knowledge of safety procedures and equipment
• Knowledge of ISO shipping/receiving procedures and memorization of Quality Policy
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication skills supervisors and coworkers
