Job Description

Thank you for considering a position with us! We are Edge Electric and Stryker Electric, a group of leading electrical contractors in Texas and Florida.

About the Role

This position is Full-time and located in our Palm City, FL office. Compensation is commensurate with experience, with a salary starting at $75,000+ per year plus a company-sponsored 401k plan, medical, dental, life amp; disability insurance, as well as paid vacation amp; holidays.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret job plans and specifications to develop complete and accurate takeoff and prepare bids (Large Commercial and Industrial projects with an electrical scope up to $10,000,000)
  • Write detailed proposals for bid submission
  • Clarify Bid Documents and prepare RFIs
  • Provide post-bid follow-up on projects to negotiate scope and pricing with clients, provide value engineering and/or scope modifications for projects
  • Work with Vendors to ensure multiple bids in each area of the requested material
  • Interact with the Construction Team throughout the project as needed
  • Effectively create, manage, and track change orders
  • Keep well organized Bid Documents at all times
  • Work on multiple projects concurrently

Qualifications:

  • Min 3-5 years experience with Electrical Estimating
  • Proficient reading Plans and specs
  • Strong computer skills including Excel, Word amp; ConEst Estimating Software
  • Ability to Multitask and meet Deadlines amp; work with limited Supervision
  • Excellent Communication Skills with all Levels of Internal and External Customers
  • Accubid, Bluebeam, NetSuite, and Procore experience is a plus
