Service Technicians complete small construction projects and respond to service calls from our customers. The Service Technician will perform electrical installations by himself/herself, but as required for some projects, he/she will be responsible for managing and working with other journeymen and apprentice electricians.

Our roles are full-time and we have immediate availability in the Austin area. Hourly pay starts at $28+ per hour, commensurate with experience. Overtime is often available if interested.

Compensation
- $28+ per hour, depending on experience

Responsibilities
- Run small crews and complete small projects
- Perform electrical work alone or with others making judgment calls for crews in the field
- Estimate the general amount of time and material to complete service tasks and present the service manager with a written estimate
- Identify sales opportunities by building a strong relationship with the customer
- Communicate with vendors, owners, service managers, and other team members to ensure jobs are completed on time amp; within budget
- Update as-built drawings to reflect current building conditions
- Represent Edge Electric to the client with a professional appearance
- Determine the most efficient way to install changes to the existing service
- Communicate with the Service Manager daily regarding scheduling and work progress
- Obtain and order materials as needed
- Complete all work within code requirements
Qualifications
- Experience in residential and/or commercial electrical service
- Professional communication skills with clients and contractors
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Punctuality for service calls
- TDLR electrician license
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
