Job Description

The Human Capital Generalist is responsible for supporting Accord’s organizational goals and strategies through the delivery of the Human Capital function’s services, resources, and capabilities. The person in this position must be able to work collaboratively in a matrixed environment with people in all levels of the organization, and must be able to provide a positive customer service experience to these groups.

  • Consults with management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation for employees.
  • Helps develop and improve systems and processes within HC function.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with HC team members to develop solutions, programs and policies.
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Participates in meetings with respective programs and departments as needed.
  • Assist in delivery and success of talent acquisition process.
  • Help facilitate and further develop new hire orientation and overall new employee onboarding experience.
  • Must demonstrate a high level of integrity/trust, the ability to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information, and the ability to serve as a positive role model for other employees.
  • Be an Accord brand ambassador with all external contacts.
  • Must be willing to travel locally for work with limited overnight travel possible.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree Human Resources Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of human resources experience or a combination of higher education and experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management skills.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
  • Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
