Job Description

The Resource Center Program Manager will be responsible for the coordination, delivery, and evaluation of substance abuse and related prevention services, including volunteer management. The Resource Center Program Manager will provide supervision, advocacy, prevention, education and information dissemination activities and services as well as provide administrative support to the Board of Attack Addiction. The Resource Center Program Manager will ensure that operations at the site and within the program provide quality, sufficient and appropriate services for maintaining high professional standards. The Resource Center Program Manager has daily contact with persons in the target population in an effort to provide educational, outreach and intervention services and to make referrals when appropriate.

Requirements

General Accountabilities

  • Provides culturally competent supervision to Resource Center staff and volunteers ensuring quality work is performed and standards are implemented.
  • Coordinate operations for prevention, education and information dissemination activities which include presentations and workshops with individuals and groups on specific topics and to target populations in the community.
  • Create and monitor scheduling of Resource Center activities.
  • Assist and give direction and guidance to all clients.
  • Maintain daily records including activity logs, materials distributed, and contacts made for evaluation purposes.
  • Maintain the program delivery database/s, service data compilation, and preparation of reports for evaluation purposes.
  • Complete necessary reports related to grant management, finance, and compliance.
  • Organize and facilitate all office related duties.
  • Provide direction to interns and volunteers.
  • Coordinate all aspects of special events, health fairs and other promotional opportunities.
  • Review current research on prevention and keep the Board updated on trends related to substance use disorder and related issues.
  • Develop, produce, and maintain client health literature and other related promotional materials, i.e. client newsletter.
  • Collaborate with community agencies and service providers to ensure collaboration and access to services and programs.
  • Expected to represent Attack Addiction by attending all necessary meetings and trainings: maintain active membership and participation on various related and local committees as directed by the Board of Attack Addiction.
  • Assist with grant and foundation drafting and reporting.
  • Assist in programmatic administrative duties.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Board of Attack Addiction and leadership at Impact Life.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Psychology, or related Social Services and/or Communications Field.
  • At least 2 years of related experience required.
  • Prevention Specialist or Peer Recovery Specialist Certification Preferred.

Skills

  • Knowledge of health promotion and prevention strategies.
  • Experience with community health settings, knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Ability to set long-term and/or short-term goals, objectives, timelines, and tactical strategies; experience with evidence-based strategies (experience making organizational decisions and implementing practices informed by the best available scientific evidence and/or empirical research)
  • Knowledge of the grant writing process, including preparation, research of funding sources, grant packaging, and persuasive writing techniques.
  • Contributes to building a positive team spirit.
