Job Description
Candidates local to Alexandria, VA are preferred.
We are now seeking an IT Supervisor with strong technical and communication skills to join our internal team. The IT Supervisor will have the opportunity to impact the day-to-day effectiveness of our operations and contribute to the continued success of our company.
The selected candidate should have a background with government contracting, past experience or working knowledge of NIST, prior supervisor experience managing direct reports, and experience with Cloud infrastructure and cloud hybrid environments.
Responsibilities
· Provide IT support to project staff related to software and hardware issued.
· Perform overall information systems planning, implementation and administrative procedures in a variety of IT functional areas to include cybersecurity.
· Manage the daily activities of enterprise IT operations unit and its equipment ensuring its availability, reliability, and optimal performance.
· Supervise and mentor direct IT staff.
· Provider escalated support for more complex technical issues.
· Provide operational infrastructure support, maintenance, troubleshooting to ensure optimum utilization of IT resources.
· Establish and maintain department policies and procedures.
· Responsible for achieving business goals and objectives.
· Follow established operating policies to mitigate risk.
· Conduct research and recommends the selection of IT equipment, applications, and supplies for Leadership.
· Implement and maintains enterprise-wide IT system tools and ensures scalability.
· Lead security, training, coordination and scheduling of IT initiatives. Ensures compliance with regulations and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 4 years of work experience or Associate's degree with 6 years of experience or High School diploma with 8 years of experience.
- Background with government contracting
- Past experience or working knowledge of NIST
- Must have Supervisor experience manage direct reports
- Cloud infrastructure and cloud hybrid environments

· Experience as an IT Supervisor in a small/mid-size company
· Communication skills are needed to interface with other departments and leadership
Education and Experience:
· BS/BA required (Information Technology, Computer Science or similar is preferred).
· At least 5-10 years of related experience
· CompTIA+ CompTIA Network+ are a plus.
