About the Position

The Art Director role is a Boise-based position, responsible for ensuring our clients’ success by contributing to projects with a variety of creative approaches. You will work with the Stoltz team to fully develop our clients’ strategic marketing initiatives and collaborate on conceptual solutions and design production. This position reports to the Creative Director as an integral role on the creative team.

Requirements

Art Director 1 Responsibilities

  • Participate in conceptual thinking based on a clear strategy.
  • Demonstrate passion for design.
  • Design for print and digital user experiences (UX).
  • Create inspiring visual campaigns (print/digital) from concept through to completion.
  • Work from a creative brief to generate ideas for client projects.
  • Assist with print, digital, photo, and video production (pre- and post-production).
  • Provide rationale for aesthetic choices that align with client goals and budgets.
  • Take feedback constructively, defend ideas where appropriate, and implement solutions.
  • Contribute to internal projects (company content design, updating website, blog writing, etc.).
  • Collaborate with the creative team in brainstorm sessions that help push creative concepts across multiple channels.
  • Understand general business practices and take responsibility for diligent timekeeping.
  • Pivot between multiple projects, clients, and campaigns.
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication to keep teams informed and projects running smoothly.

You might be a fit if:

  • You have a bachelor's degree in design, multimedia or a related field, OR you have at least 2-4 years of Art Director experience.
  • You are a people person who believes in client/agency relationships based on true partnership.
  • You have exceptional communication skills, including the ability and confidence to respectfully voice ideas and concerns with both clients and co-workers, and make a tough call when necessary.
  • You are proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • You are receptive to feedback and dedicated to growing your skillset/portfolio.
  • You are passionate about client satisfaction and have experience with Workamajig ERP software.
  • You can pivot between multiple projects without missing a beat.
  • You’re a learner and innovator wanting to push boundaries and try new things.
  • You’re a flexible problem solver, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and navigate competing demands without breaking a sweat.
  • You’re extremely detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • You have excellent writing skills. 
  • You are knowledgeable about emerging technology and marketing trends.
