About the Role

We are seeking a temporary Product Developer for a global leader in the sport, outdoor, and lifestyle apparel industry. The TEMP Product Developer is responsible for managing all aspects of the product development calendar, execution of the product, and on-time delivery.

  • Oversee the development cycle from initial concept through production hand-off.
  • Ensure development execution is in accordance with design, allocation, sourcing, and brand strategy.
  • Lead cross-functional communication and coordination of timing, calendar, product updates, approvals, and issues.
  • Work closely with sourcing team leads to source raw materials and components while maintaining quality standards and margin goals.
  • Anticipate and identify any potential obstacles in the development process and facilitate the effective resolution of issues.
  • Responsible for cost negotiations with the suppliers to meet or exceed margin targets.
  • Ensure that all product information is accurate in PLM system at all times during the lifecycle of the product.

Requirements

  • At least 3+ years of experience in apparel product development.
  • Extensive attention to detail and follow-through related to calendar, vendor relations, and inner department relations.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Detailed knowledge of construction and textiles for apparel, women’s apparel amp; swim specifically a plus.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel; Illustrator 10, CS, CS2; PLM, Full Circle experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferable but not required.
