Position Summary

DroneUp is seeking an energetic HR Support Specialist to join our Human Resource Team. This role will be responsible administratively for supporting the full employment cycle of all DroneUp employees. Responsibilities include administrative tasks related to onboarding, equipment disbursement, background checks, drug screening, I-9 verification through E-Verify, and assisting employees and leaders with questions or concerns. As an HR support specialist, you will also be responsible for assisting in processing employee payroll and employee deductions of benefits to include medical, dental, vision, and 401K. This role is system- and data-based using various software programs. This role requires a self starter with the ability to problem solve and maintain a high level of attention to detail.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate and support both the operations and field teams in day-to-day operations
  • Work with third-party payroll vendor to ensure payroll is processed in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner with an emphasis on tax account reconciliation
  • Support field operations with time entry, paid time off, and reconciliation activities
  • Ensure 401(k) funding report changes are accurately deducted from employee payroll
  • Work with Finance to resolve payroll or benefit issues
  • Serve as point of contact for internal hiring managers and DroneUp employees as needed
  • Assist in managing daily processes pertaining to the employment life cycle
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 2+ years experience in a HR support specialist role or related experience
  • Background in Benefits and Compensation
  • Data Analytics Experience
  • Experience with high level administrative support with strong attention to detail
  • Understanding of labor laws relating to payroll, benefit administration, and confidentiality
  • Proficiency with payroll/benefit software or technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn new technologies
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Experience with Paylocity a plus

Salary

Just like drones themselves, your earning potential can soar to new heights, but it largely depends on your qualifications and expertise. If you are recognized as an industry expert, your earning potential can take true flight. The target salary range for this position is $50,000 to $60,000. Your unique qualifications and contributions to the field will play a significant role in determining your precise compensation. The total rewards for this position may also include; potential for annual bonuses, benefits package, paid time off, and more.
