Job Description

F L Crane amp; Sons Inc, a well-established construction company with over 75 years of experience, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Payroll Manager to join our team. The Payroll Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees, while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the entire payroll process, including collecting, calculating, and inputting employee timekeeping data.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, including deductions, taxes, and other withholdings.
  • Monitor payroll transactions and resolve any discrepancies or errors.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports and statements to employees.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll regulations and ensure compliance with all relevant laws.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting of payroll expenses.
  • Handle payroll inquiries and provide exceptional customer service to employees regarding payroll-related matters.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure data confidentiality.
  • Administration of self-funded Health Insurance Trust Fund, 401K, and ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan)
  • Experienced in 5500 audits.

Requirements

Education and/or Work Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification (preferred).
  • Proven work experience as a Payroll Manager or similar role

  • In-depth knowledge of payroll regulations and best practices.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in payroll software and MS Office applications.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
