F L Crane amp; Sons Inc, a well-established construction company with over 75 years of experience, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Payroll Manager to join our team. The Payroll Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees, while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the entire payroll process, including collecting, calculating, and inputting employee timekeeping data.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, including deductions, taxes, and other withholdings.
- Monitor payroll transactions and resolve any discrepancies or errors.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports and statements to employees.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll regulations and ensure compliance with all relevant laws.
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting of payroll expenses.
- Handle payroll inquiries and provide exceptional customer service to employees regarding payroll-related matters.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure data confidentiality.
- Administration of self-funded Health Insurance Trust Fund, 401K, and ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan)
- Experienced in 5500 audits.
Requirements
Education and/or Work Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification (preferred).
- Proven work experience as a Payroll Manager or similar role
