Position Summary

Editas is seeking a passionate and strategic Senior Director of Learning amp; Development to establish our Lamp;D function and shape a culture of continuous learning and growth across Editas Medicine. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will lead the design, development and implementation of impactful Lamp;D programs that align with our strategic priorities, support the development of our talent pipeline, and foster diverse, high performing, engaged teams.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Senior Director, Learning and Development, you will be responsible for:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive Lamp;D strategy that aligns with the company's vision, mission, and strategic objectives.
  • Analyzing existing Lamp;D program materials to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in Lamp;D to ensure Editas remains at the forefront of talent development.

Program Design amp; Implementation:

  • Design the architecture and content to deliver a diverse range of Lamp;D programs that cater to the unique needs of different employee groups and development levels.
  • This could include leadership development programs, technical skill-building workshops, onboarding programs, BIDE (Belonging, Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity), and personalized coaching initiatives.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the organization to identify critical learning needs and develop solutions that address them effectively.
  • Utilize cutting-edge learning technologies and methodologies to create engaging and impactful learning experiences.

Talent Management amp; Performance:

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to develop and implement a Talent Management program that allows Editas to build talent pipelines to ensure critical capability gaps are filled.
  • Align Lamp;D programs with performance management processes to ensure measurable impact on employee performance and organizational goals.

Culture amp; Engagement:

  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within Editas Medicine.
  • Promote employee engagement in Lamp;D programs and initiatives.
  • Champion a growth mindset and a commitment to lifelong learning across the organization.

Data amp; Analytics:

  • Develop and implement robust metrics to track the effectiveness of Lamp;D programs and initiatives.
  • Regularly analyze data and provide insights to inform future Lamp;D strategies.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience with a proven track record of success in designing and implementing impactful enterprise-wide learning, development, and training programs.
  • Strong understanding of business strategy and the ability to translate business goals into effective Lamp;D initiatives.
  • Expertise in various Lamp;D methodologies and technologies, including blended learning, e-learning, and coaching.

Preferred Qualifications:

Additionally, candidates with the following attributes are preferred:

  • Prior experience working within the biopharmaceutical industry
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
