New Business Strategist (Temp to Staff)

Job Description
Local Projects is looking to hire a dynamic New Business Strategist to join our New Business team. The right candidate will have a passion for experience design and a knowledge of the experience design world, including but not limited to architecture, agency, and/or museum experience.
Duties/Responsibilities:
General
- Field inbound inquiries
- Pursue outbound opportunities
- Respond to requests for proposals (RFPs) and pitches
- Facilitate clear communication, meetings and calls with potential clients through the pitch process
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of the competitive environment
- Maintain a working database of potential projects
- Maintain prospect tracking and filing systems
Fulfillment of Proposal Process
- Lead opportunity assessments
- Lead outbound email communications, phone calls, and meetings
- Review RFPs and create internal assessment and fulfillment materials
- Coordinate resources across departments to create proposal designs and materials
- Coordinate team brainstorms and larger studio brainstorms
- Coordinate with partners and contractors on proposals
- Coordinate reviews with creative leadership team
Project Initiation
- Upon award of project, work with PM to create Kick-Off presentation for new project, and onboard of LP team members, as well as onboarding client to LP process
Requirements
Skills:
- Strong verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate
- Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment
Other
- Must be able to work on-site in our NYC Studio (Hybrid)
- Must reside in the NY/Tri-state area or DC Metro area
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Travel required (domestic and global)
- Bachelor's or Masters's degree in a related field
- Proven work experience within the architecture, agency or museum fields. Ideal candidates will have experience in multiple areas
- 5+ years experience in a similar field
- Writing samples will be required
Salary Range: Hourly- Commensurate with experience.
