Job Description

Local Projects is looking to hire a dynamic New Business Strategist to join our New Business team. The right candidate will have a passion for experience design and a knowledge of the experience design world, including but not limited to architecture, agency, and/or museum experience.

Duties/Responsibilities:

General

  • Field inbound inquiries
  • Pursue outbound opportunities
  • Respond to requests for proposals (RFPs) and pitches
  • Facilitate clear communication, meetings and calls with potential clients through the pitch process
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of the competitive environment
  • Maintain a working database of potential projects
  • Maintain prospect tracking and filing systems

Fulfillment of Proposal Process

  • Lead opportunity assessments
  • Lead outbound email communications, phone calls, and meetings
  • Review RFPs and create internal assessment and fulfillment materials
  • Coordinate resources across departments to create proposal designs and materials
  • Coordinate team brainstorms and larger studio brainstorms
  • Coordinate with partners and contractors on proposals
  • Coordinate reviews with creative leadership team

Project Initiation

  • Upon award of project, work with PM to create Kick-Off presentation for new project, and onboard of LP team members, as well as onboarding client to LP process



Requirements

Skills:

  • Strong verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment

Other

  • Must be able to work on-site in our NYC Studio (Hybrid)
  • Must reside in the NY/Tri-state area or DC Metro area
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Travel required (domestic and global)
  • Bachelor's or Masters's degree in a related field
  • Proven work experience within the architecture, agency or museum fields. Ideal candidates will have experience in multiple areas
  • 5+ years experience in a similar field
  • Writing samples will be required

Salary Range: Hourly- Commensurate with experience.
