Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: The Accounting Manager will be responsible for leading the Company’s month-end closing process and ensuring compliance with GAAP requirements

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage monthly accrued expenses and prepaid assets and ensure GAAP compliance
  • Reconcile Bank Recs, payroll entries, Intercompany transactions, and employee benefits on a consistent basis
  • Review monthly financials to budget and prior years for accuracy and investigate and document variances.
  • Work with VP of finance on YE audit requests and quarterly tax payments
  • Manage ASC842 for all locations
  • Apply ASC 606 revenue recognition on a quarterly basis.
  • Strong analytical and research skills
  • Identify opportunities to create efficiencies in the monthly closing process

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • 10 + years accounting experience
  • High-volume payables, receivables, and intercompany transactions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft suite of products
  • Experience with Microsoft BC or similar ERPs

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to occasionally lift 25 lbs
  • Able to sit and work at a computer for prolonged periods of time
  • Must be able to navigate various departments of the organization’s physical premises
