Job Description

Human Resources/Compliance Specialist

Full time M-F 9-5 Hourly

$18-25 per hour DOE

Help young men in a therapeutic setting as they progress on their healing journey.

Nestled next to the Uinta National Forest in the southern Wasatch Range, Discovery Ranch for Boys is a residential treatment center. We have over 25 years of experience using evidence-based practices to help families heal. At Discovery Ranch, we combine the power of traditional and experiential therapies in a relationship-based model to help our students and their families heal and move forward with their lives.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and employee training and development.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures related to HR and compliance.
  • Conduct audits and assessments to identify areas of risk or non-compliance and develop plans for remediation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and documentation.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees and managers regarding HR policies and procedures.

Requirements

Required skills/abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with employees at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in HR and compliance roles preferred
  • Professional certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.
