1 Resource Group is hiring a Civil Engineer to join our clients Transporation team in the Houston market. This position is fully remote, and you'll be working alongsideother colleagues located in Lebanon. Employee must have no visa restrictions and a clean background check history. Candidate is able to visit USA in the future on occasion for industry training with no limitations.
Duties And Responsibilities
Design and plan production for general civil on a wide variety of projects, including roadway and highway design, horizontal and vertical alignments and geometric design, grading and drainage, paving, site utilities, traffic control and associated civil engineering activities.
Perform quantity calculations
Conduct permitting with Jurisdictional Authorities
Perform assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures
Make decisions on significant design and engineering procedures as needed
Assist Project Engineers and Managers as needed
Review work of other professionals and technicians as needed
Serve as a technical consultant in an area of specialization that resolves problems of greater scope and complexity as needed
Plan and develop projects or design activities with significant impact on major company programs as needed
Prepare/Review civil engineering scope of work for proposals
Engage with clients to build relationships and be involved project related production meetings
Perform other duties as neededRequired
Requirements
Skills
Strong or intermediate operating knowledge of Microstation / OpenRoads Designer (ORD)
Knowledge of the RDM Roadway Design Manual and AASHTOAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our culture. Required Experience
BS degree in Civil Engineering (ABET accredited university preferred)Passed the FE exam and obtained Engineer in Training certificate. Or looking to take and passFE exam within 6 months of starting employment.
