Join our team at Amazing Athlete's After School Program at PS 166 as a Yoga Instructor! In this role, you'll guide students from Kindergarten to Fifth grade through engaging yoga sessions, fostering not just physical wellness but also mental focus, emotional balance, and camaraderie. Your role goes beyond teaching yoga; you'll be integral in promoting academic excellence, creativity, and healthy habits among our students.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Design and lead yoga sessions suitable for elementary-aged students, using physical postures, breathing exercises, relaxation techniques and mindfulness practices.
- Collaborate with other instructors to ensure a cohesive and supportive environment for student learning and growth.
- Communicate effectively with management regarding student progress, concerns, and program-related matters.
- Use company-wide digital platforms to perform administrative tasks (ie: taking attendance, submitting incident reports as needed, etc.)
- Maintain a well-organized and inviting space, ensuring safety and accessibility for all.
- Actively engage with students during class time and transitions, fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
