Job Description

BroadStreet Publishing Group is a Christian book publisher that creates meaningful, inspirational products that share God’s truth with quality, beauty, and creativity. BroadStreet publishes The Passion Translation Bible and supplemental Bible study materials, biographies, Christian living nonfiction, devotionals, and fiction; journals, devotionals, gift books, and planners under its Belle City Gifts imprint; and children’s books under its BroadStreet Kids imprint.

Position Overview

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Social Media and Marketing Coordinator to join our team in a part-time role up to 25 hours a week in a hybrid position. Working under marketing supervisors, the ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and developing social media channels which promote our books, engage our audience, and enhance our brand presence across various digital platforms. Additionally, this position will support the overall marketing strategies through administrative and research tasks.

Requirements

Job Functions

· Management of multiple social media platforms

· Develop and implement a content calendar to maintain a consistent posting schedule

· Generate compelling and shareable content, including graphics, videos, and posts to promote our books, authors, and brands.

· Respond to comments, messages, and mentions to build relationships with our audience within the parameters of BroadStreet’s brand and community guidelines.

· Identify and manage partnership opportunities with influencers, book reviewers, and faith-based communities under the supervision of the marketing team

· Maintains insight into trends and new opportunities within social media

· Monitors marketing email accounts

· Support the management of email subscriber lists and creation of eblasts

· Compile monthly social media and email marketing analytics reports

· Various administrative duties to support the workflow and development of the marketing department

· Upkeep of various marketing databases

Qualifications:

· 4 year bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience

· Well-versed in social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, and Pinterest with a focus on business-to-customer marketing

· Experience managing various social media platforms

· Strong writing, editorial and communication skills with clear judgment on what content fits with BroadStreet Publishing’s mission and purpose

· Passion for the faith-based publishing industry and a desire to champion the online presence of BroadStreet Publishing

· Ability to translate content into brand-relevant online interactions

· Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects at one time

· Strong organizational and planning skills

· Experience with photo-editing/design software

· Preferred experience with email marketing platforms, particularly Mailchimp

· Preferred experience with Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, CANVA, Google drive, and Meta Business Manager
