The Role:

As a Senior Seller at Ossia, you will be responsible for developing, cultivating, and closing new leads that deliver revenue. This position will identify new sales opportunities that align with Ossia’s value proposition, ideal use cases for Cota and developing a pipeline of qualified opportunities to drive revenue from new customers. This role will have support from a business development representative team for prospecting, but should come with contacts within IoT, device OEMs/ODMs, and the mobile space.

The Senior AE/ Director of Sales must be able to effectively identify and close opportunities with new customers through the direct sales cycle model. This team member must be successful at striking a balance between consistently delivering results against targets and forging new relationships for the adoptions of Ossia’s Cota Real Wireless Power technology. This role is an individual contributor role with revenue quotas and a commission-based compensation package.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate a pipeline that leads to closed revenue and quota attainment.
  • Proactively search for new business opportunities.
  • Achieve sales targets.
  • Provide accurate forecasting.
  • Thorough account planning and strategic maneuvering through large organizations.
  • Build credibility and trust while influencing buying decisions across the decision-making unit.
  • Anticipate and prepare for objections.
  • Own your account list and lead expectations and timeline; act as the leader with internal partners.
  • Create demand by uncovering business problems and matching them to our solution.
  • Have a deep understanding of the way businesses operate, how companies make decisions, and the priorities that drive decisions from the C-level.
  • Cover all sales and support functions in an assigned territory or specific client list.
  • Assist with sales support at existing clients as required.
  • Serve as the lead point of contact for multiple customers.
  • Promote company solutions/successes/position papers/etc. on social media (e.g. LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, etc.).

Requirements

  • Fully qualified, experienced sales professional who is forward-thinking and has an expert understanding of complex sales.
  • Someone who is genuinely curious and cares about hearing the customers’ voice, not their own.
  • Someone who is coachable, respectful, and loves being part of a team.
  • A track record of success in identifying, cultivating, and closing six and seven figure+ transactions.
  • A proven track record of quota achievement and demonstrated career stability.
  • A proven ability to convey business and tactical value to multiple buying influences.
  • An ability to conduct both executive level presentations and high-level technical presentations.
  • Excellent communication skills and presentation skills to executives and individual contributors.
  • A self-motivated, independent thinker with a hunter mentality who can move deals through the selling cycle.
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

Advanced Requirements:

  • Sales experience in any of the following industries is a plus: Industrial/Consumer IoT, Warehouse/Logistics, Retail, Healthcare, and Consumer Electronics Products
  • Established book of business is a plus.

Education and Experience:

  • BA/BS with significant relevant experience or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10+ years prior enterprise complex sales experience is a must.
  • Previous experience selling into the WiFi vertical or selling emerging technology focused IoT preferred.
  • Previous wireless power technology sales is a plus.
  • Setting up and managing a VAR channel is a plus
  • Consistent track record of sales excellence
  • Experience selling at the "C" level
  • Be able to work independently amp; as part of a team in a fast pace, rapid change environment
  • Experience working in a new product development environment and an understanding of the startup environment.
