The Role amp; Responsibilities:

As Vice President of Sales Ossia, you will be responsible for a team of sellers including a Senior Director, Account Executives, and a robust Business Development Representative (SDR/BDR)team. We're seeking a clear sales leader, with expansive acumen in the art of selling, who will train, develop, drive and manage a growing team of 7+ sellers in sales process, strategy, account planning, pipeline development and forecast management. This leader will also be a seller with a quota and on a commission-based sales compensation structure. This leader will have a track record or be able to demonstrate successful revenue generation from new/ emerging technology. This role will have experience selling something that has not been in market before and have the strategy to grow it into a global standard.

The Vice President of Sales reports to the Chief Revenue Officer and carries the annual revenue goal for the company. This is a senior, strategic role in the company with board-level visibility and the chance to truly change the world with wireless power.

  • Working with the team to generate and cultivate a robust pipeline.
  • Managing a team of sellers with best practices for selling, pipeline management, Account Based Sales, Sales Enablement, forecasting and reporting.
  • Achieves sales targets.
  • Accurate forecasting.
  • Thorough account planning and strategic maneuvering through large organizations.
  • Skills to navigate large corporate entities and finding solutions to challenges that arise in the selling process.
  • Uncovering executive-level initiatives and difficulties to map back our solutions across multiple lines of business.
  • Ethical, responsible and able to manage, lead and deliver results.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets.

Requirements

  • A fully qualified, experienced sales professional who is forward-thinking and has an expert understanding of complex sales.
  • A strong leader who can inspire a team.
  • A track record of success in identifying, cultivating, and closing six and seven figure+ transactions.
  • A proven track record of quota achievement and demonstrated career stability.
  • Previous experience designing business plans and market strategies to increase sales.
  • Ability to conduct both executive level presentations and high-level technical presentations.
  • Excellent presentation skills to executives amp; individual contributors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A self-motivated, independent thinker that can move deals through the selling cycle.
  • Competitive, self-starter, hunter mentality.
  • Candidate must thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

Advanced Requirements:

  • Sales experience in any of the following industries is a plus: Industrial/Consumer IoT, Warehouse/Logistics, Retail, Healthcare, and Consumer Electronics Products
  • Established book of business is a plus.

Education and Experience:

  • BA/BS with significant relevant experience or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 15+ years prior enterprise complex sales experience is a must.
  • Previous experience selling into the WiFi vertical or selling emerging technology focused IoT preferred.
  • Previous wireless power technology sales is a plus.
  • Setting up and managing a VAR channel is a plus
  • Consistent track record of sales excellence
  • Experience selling at the "C" level
  • Be able to work independently amp; as part of a team in a fast pace, rapid change environment
  • Experience working in a new product development environment and an understanding of the startup environment.
