Job Description

Position Summary:

Guided by global objectives, the Finance amp; Operations Systems Manager serves as the business lead for Duke CE’s D365 cloud software ecosystem and associated business systems. As the key stakeholder in implementing best practices within our business systems, the role leverages this ecosystem to drive seamless project operations, financial accounting, and reporting within Duke CE. The role is responsible for gathering and analyzing the business process requirements of constituents and ensuring accurate translation through software configuration to meet those requirements. In doing so, the role serves as the lead for training, onboarding, and expertise development of staff within the D365 ecosystem and associated business systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

System Enablement and Optimization

  • Strategic Ecosystem Management: Oversee Duke CE's Dynamics 365 cloud software ecosystem and associated business systems platforms. Ensure alignment with business objectives and optimal utilization.
  • Enhancement and Upgrades: Spearhead the enhancement and maintenance of the Dynamics 365 ecosystem, collaborating with Microsoft ISV partners for innovative solutions.
  • Integration and Operations: Plan, coordinate, and oversee integration processes within ERP systems for seamless operations.
  • Configuration and Training: Take a hands-on approach to system configuration, testing, and user training. Ensure accurate functionality and proficiency.
  • Enhancement and Process Improvement: Ensure other software systems are fully utilized and identify opportunities to enhance processes. Provide suggestions and improvements where necessary to drive efficiency.

Change Management and Support

  • Smooth Change Leadership: Lead change management efforts for system implementations, changes, and enhancements. Minimize disruptions and ensure smooth transitions.
  • Super User Support: Provide dedicated support and expertise to super users within respective process areas.
  • Vendor Relationship Management: Manage collaboration with Microsoft ISV partners for ecosystem enhancement and upgrades.

Reporting, Data Analysis, and Insights

  • Power BI and Excel Reporting: Utilize Power BI reporting tools to orchestrate, maintain, and support various reports or queries. Additionally, leverage Excel for advanced data analysis and reporting.
  • Enhanced Reporting Collaboration: Partner with IT staff and vendors to enhance Power BI reporting capabilities and address complex reporting issues.
  • Business Process Analysis: Analyze business process requirements, document current processes, and use data insights for improvements.

Process Improvement and Documentation

  • System Utilization Enhancement: Ensure full business functionality of systems is optimally explored and used by aligning business needs with system capabilities.
  • Streamlining and Automation: Improve, streamline, and automate business processes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Documentation and Planning: Produce change management plans, training and development plans, and business system documentation.

Requirements

Business/Financial Acumen

  • Experience in professional services/consulting environments with a deep understanding of associated business drivers, performance metrics, and profitability models.

  • Demonstrates the ability to establish both professional and personal credibility with colleagues, clients, faculty, and vendors.

  • Leads and facilitates group meetings and training sessions effectively.

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Cloud ERP environment, encompassing CRM/CE, Finance, and Operations (Famp;O) modules.
  • Exhibits exposure to D365 data entity design and displays familiarity with Azure Data Lake solutions, enhancing multi-system reporting within a Microsoft D365 environment.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in the Microsoft 365 toolset, including Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
