inMusic is looking for our next strong, independent, and experienced Copywriter:

The Copywriter at inMusic plays a pivotal role in creating compelling, brand-aligned copy across various platforms for multiple brands, blending creativity with strategic insight. This role demands a highly creative and collaborative individual who can not only produce engaging content but also manage freelance copywriters, including specialists in Amazon-specific copywriting. Working closely with the Global Creative Director and Brand Managers, you will adapt and develop unique brand voices, ensuring messages resonate with diverse target audiences and support global marketing strategies.

What you'll be doing every day:

  • Produce imaginative and compelling copy for various platforms, ensuring it reflects each brand's distinctive tone and strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Global Creative Director and Design Director to effectively integrate copy with visual content, reinforcing the overall messaging.
  • Create, maintain, and deliver the master messaging documents for all product launches.
  • Lead the development and refinement of multiple brands' tones of voice, maintaining consistency in brand identity.
  • Work with Brand Managers to tailor messaging for different audience segments, boosting engagement and resonance.
  • Participate in key brainstorming and planning sessions with stakeholders to generate innovative campaign ideas.
  • Maintain high editorial standards, ensuring content reflects the intended brand voice and meets quality benchmarks.
  • Revise and improve content based on feedback, fostering a collaborative approach to content refinement.
  • Provide creative input into the content strategies for multiple brands, staying up-to-date with industry trends and innovative practices.
  • Oversee a diverse portfolio of copywriting projects, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines while maintaining creative excellence.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and strong communication skills in project management and team interactions.
  • Take editorial responsibility for all PR content, ensuring it aligns with brand messaging and communication strategies.
  • Review and edit press releases and public statements to uphold brand integrity and messaging consistency.
  • Guide the narrative of PR materials when collaborating with external agencies to refine key messaging points.
  • Recruit, onboard, and manage freelance copywriters, including those with expertise in Amazon-specific copywriting, to support project needs and manage workload overflow.
  • Ensure freelancers understand brand guidelines and project requirements, maintaining consistency and quality in all outsourced content.
  • Act as the main point of contact for freelance copywriters, providing direction, feedback, and ensuring seamless integration of their work into larger projects.

Requirements

Excited about the role? To be seriously considered, you should:

  • Hold a BA degree in English, Communications, Journalism or a related field, or have equivalent experience
  • Be a master of the English language and have a solid understanding of Microsoft Office
  • Have experience in the musical instrument, live sound, DJ, music production, or music software industries
  • Proficient in software such as Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Adobe PageMaker, and Adobe Photoshop
  • Demonstrate exceptional multitasking and proofreading abilities, with the capacity to handle and coordinate multiple projects at once
  • Thrive in a fluid, high-paced environment as a team player with a cooperative personality
