The SQL Developer will be responsible for the design and development of Transact-SQL code used for reporting, data extracts and ad-hoc querying of an entertainment payroll application, including but not limited to: Payroll; Taxation; Pension and Residual contributions; Tax incentives; Bank integration and Production Accounting.
Job Responsibilities:- Create and maintain database views, functions and stored procedures
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing SQL code
- Develop reports using SSRS and JasperReports
- Test and validate reports and data extracts
- Perform other projects or duties as assigned
*Pursuant to California's Pay Transparency Law the pay range for this position is $110,000 - $120,000; base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Requirements
- MS/BS in Computer Science or related background preferred
- 5-7 years of strong experience in SQL/Database development
- Strong proficiency with MS SQL Server and SSRS
- Experience with data analysis/report writing preferred
- SSRS and BI experience preferred
- Strong problem solving, organization and analytical skills
- Proven ability to work with team and clients in a professional manner
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast paced environment
- Prior experience with entertainment payroll, production accounting or financial applications a plus
- Data warehousing and ETL experience a plus
- Experience with Powershell a plus
- Experience with Agile SDLC
- Experience with source control tools a plus
