Simcorp is currently seeking a qualified professional to join our IT Infrastructure team as a full-time employee.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the planning, implementing, and maintaining the company's infrastructure systems.
  • Support critical server infrastructure, including Linux, Windows, and virtualization technologies such as HyperV.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure systems align with business needs and support strategic initiatives.
  • Provide technical support to resolve infrastructure issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Monitor infrastructure performance and conduct periodic system assessments to identify potential issues.
  • Implement security best practices and maintain system compliance with industry standards.
  • Maintain effective communication with key stakeholders and ensure a high level of customer service.
  • Manage Local IT Assets (computers, peripherals, docking stations, displays, etc.), accurately tracking our asset control system.
  • Provide L1 support to end users with day-to-day issues (ie office 365 issues, local applications issues, hardware issues, Video Conference setup, and use, etc.), identify issue trendings provide improvement suggestions.
  • Provide L2 support for our IT Infrastructure (on-prem/virtual servers, Windows/Linux, etc.) and Applications (Jira, Salesforce, etc.), as well as be involved in diverse area projects (cloud implementations, backups, automation, migrations, IT expertise assistance, etc.).
  • Prepare and condition hardware for delivery and use (end-user hardware, Infrastructure hardware, video conference hardware).
  • Prepare and update process and support documentation (guides, manuals, etc.).
  • Provide End users with training on Simcorp's standard tools/IT setup.
  • Provide Data Center support (Possibly Drive or public transportation to Data Center for hardware support.)

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in infrastructure engineering or a related field. Data center infrastructure experience (hands-on) is required.
  • Experience with Linux administration and scripting.
  • Strong experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.
  • Knowledge of network and security protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and SSL/TLS.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • People skills need to be empathetic and patient with the end users.
  • Proactive, ability to perform daily tasks/projects with minimum or no local supervision.
  • Eager to learn, given the diversity of systems/configurations and user needs, we aim for someone who wants to learn for continuous improvement.
  • Management tools experience (Jira/Jira Cloud preferred).
  • Technical Documentation Skills for documenting IT internal and end-user guides/processes.
  • Microsoft Operating Systems (Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2012, 2016,) (advanced level).
  • Azure (basic level).
  • Linux environments, (basic level).
  • MAC (basic level).
  • Android/IOS medium level.
  • Video conference solutions (medium level).
  • Microsoft Office 365 (advanced level).
  • Remote desktop support tools (RDP, Kaseya, QuickAssist, TeamViewer, etc).
  • Networking (Basic network + Fundamentals)
