Job Description

Steri-Tek is dedicated to providing a high-quality sterilization service and superior customer service to the industries that it serves.

The Shipping and Receiving Specialist I receives customer product(s) into our system, check for any discrepancies with the shipment. Then after the product has been processed, ship it back to the appropriate shipping location. Also answer any customer questions related to where the product is in the process and when they can expect to receive it.

ROLE 1 - SHIPPING

Ship all irradiated product in an efficient and accurate manner, as described in required SOP’s.

· Prepare product for shipment to customer.

· Place product in the appropriate Staged for Shipment area and contact carrier for pick up.

· Reconcile shipping invoices.

· Inventory and order supplies.

· Inventory, organize and prepare materials/displays for Trade Shows.

· Arrange transportation for Trade Show materials/displays.

· Research and compare transportation rates.

· Complete Repacks.

· Verify Cold Storage and Dry Ice requirements.

· Be familiar with shipping/courier service processes.

ROLE 2 - RECEIVING AND PRE-PROCESSING

All products received for irradiation are inspected, documented, and processed in an efficient and accurate manner, as described in required SOP’s.

· All boxes are to be counted and compared to the shipping documents before signing. Record any damage on shipping documents.

· Complete the receiving section of the Shipping Receiving log.

· Create a Job Folder.

· Check the Database for the applicable process specification sheet (VSF) and place a copy in the folder.

· Complete all remaining inspections and receiving paperwork.

· Move product to pre-processing area.

· Check Job folders for accuracy prior to processing.

· Complete Repacks.

· Store in cold storage DEA cages as needed.

· Order Entry.

Additional Responsibilities

· Maintain a clean and organized work area.

· Once all primary tasks are complete, assist other employees and departments as needed.

· Complete compliance training/continuing education requirements by the noted deadlines.

· Complete and ensure proper execution of appropriate Steri-Tek Standard Operating Procedures.

· Other duties as assigned by manager.

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

· High School Diploma or equivalent experience

· Proficient in English language (written and spoken)

· Basic computer skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Medical Device industry experience 2-4 years
