We currently have an exciting opportunity as a Maintenance Technician. This role is based in our facility in Lawton, OK and will work 12 hour Day shifts (8:00 am to 8:00 pm) on a 2, 2, 3 continental shift schedule. This position is budgeted at $29.40/hour.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced individual who will be responsible for the inspection, troubleshooting, and overhaul of mechanical systems and machines used in the extrusion production of PVC pipes. This position will focus primarily on the general upkeep, repair, preventative maintenance and safe operation of the industrial equipment and facility.
Principal Responsibilities
- Work independently to troubleshoot problem equipment
- Perform necessary repairs, installations and preventative maintenance to keep production lines and facilities operating
- Ensure all industrial equipment is properly maintained, lubricated, filters replaced, etc.
- Ensure mechanical operations amp; standards and controls are maintained at high quality.
- Perform essential change overs and startups as scheduled.
- Proactively inform management if equipment is unsafe to operate, needs repair or requires replacement
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High School diploma or certificate of completion is preferred; technical school is an asset
- Must have mechanical knowledge of industrial machinery and electrical troubleshooting skills. Welding experience is considered an asset.
- Experience working with extrusion machines or equipment is an asset
- Must have a high mechanical aptitude with ability to perform root cause analysis, and intuitively identify and understand the issues with machines, motors, and equipment that may arise.
- Must be eager to learn, self-motivated to work independently and have good written and verbal communication skills
- Must provide own safety boots and preferably own basic hand tools
- Available to work 12-hour shifts on a 2, 2, 3 continental schedule, with an average of 42 hours per week
- Must successfully pass a drug screen, physical, and criminal background check.
Working Conditions
- Requires good mobility and involves considerable routine walking, standing for long periods, bending, and lifting up to a maximum of 50 lbs.
