Successfully navigating the complex semiconductor and hardware supply chain is vital to Lightmatter’s success. We are looking for someone with supply chain experience and limitless positive energy to participate in all forms of tactical and strategic supply chain activities. Success in this role will require analyzing current and future supply chain needs and constraints, staying organized, being an avid consumer of market intelligence, and leaning into relationship management between Lightmatter and our critical suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to identify the right solution partners to meet our product and technology roadmaps
- Act as a primary contact for technical evaluation of potential vendors and solutions for Silicon Photonics/Optical components
- Drive and develop the RFI/P process through to completion; including requirements gathering, identifying RFP criteria and scorecards for selection.
- Develop sourcing and negotiation strategies that delivers SOWs/Supply contracts that best meets our business objectives while achieving sustainable relationships with suppliers
- Balance the technical needs vs business impact to set development program priorities and to manage schedule execution
- Continuously report challenges/risks and align with stakeholders to achieve on-time launch and improve time-to-market
- Conduct market research to understand potential opportunities in the Optical/Silicon Photonics supply chain ecosystem to improve on costs, scalability and quality
Requirements
- 8+ years experience in component manufacturing/sourcing/business development in SiliconPhotonics/Optical components
- Vendor/Partner relationship management experience
- Experience driving and owning projects from start to finish, with successful results
- Collaborative attitude and excitement to drive your own work
- Desire to work and thrive in the often-nebulous and fast-paced startup environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters/Ph.D in Electrical Engineering
- Experience in a Start-up environment

We offer competitive compensation. The base salary range for this role, inclusive of all US locations, is $140,000-$200,000.Your base salary will be determined based on location, experience, educationalbackground, and market data.
