Job Overview
Making a Difference Foundation is looking for a dedicated Custodian to join our team. As a Custodian, you will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness within our facilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
- Empty trash bins and replace liners
- Sanitize and clean restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and mirrors
- Maintain stock of cleaning supplies and report any shortages to the supervisor
- Assist in setting up rooms for meetings or events
- Notify management of any repairs needed
- Follow all safety protocols and observe proper handling of cleaning chemicals
- Interact with staff and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
Requirements
- Previous experience as a custodian or janitor preferred
- Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and procedures
- Ability to handle and operate cleaning equipment
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties for extended periods
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
