Job Description

At ZeroAvia, we’re clean sky thinkers. For the world to achieve truly clean, guilt-free flight, we need a scalable solution; hydrogen-electric powertrains. As a leader in zero-emission aviation and a UK Jet Zero Council member, we’re designing and commercialising hydrogen-powered solutions that will positively impact the future of aviation, global connectivity, and the world.

ZeroAvia’s powertrain development focuses on integrating hydrogen storage tanks, fuel cell systems, and electric motors, delivering a solution that will be not only without carbon emissions but also cheaper to operate. Commercializing the solution requires the establishment of a new clean aviation ecosystem, encompassing hydrogen production from renewable energy sources and tackling public perception of safety.

Requirements

The Business Development/Sales Director will support ZeroAvia in the next phase of our growth by working with our Chief Customer Officer in a number of different areas:

  • Delivery of the Business Development Strategy
  • Ownership of all operator business in the US
  • Establishing and developing new customer relationships
  • Managing complex sales campaigns
  • Deal Closing
Experience and qualifications: Essential:
  • Commensurate level of professional experience in a sales environment with a background in securing complex sales deals.
  • Demonstrable experience within the Aerospace Industry.
  • Demonstrable experience of interpersonal, communication, diplomacy, influencing, and negotiating skills.
  • Ability to solve complex problems.
  • Highly motivated team player and willing to take on any task and able to operate in a start-up environment under own initiative.
  • Broad business acumen.
  • Ability to prioritize workloads to meet deadlines.
  • Experience with strategy, problem-solving, commercial analysis
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Flexible approach to work and a high level of drive and ambition to help achieve the organization's goals
  • A genuine passion for clean technology and the future of electric aviation
  • A high level of attention to detail and professional integrity
Preferred
  • Engineering bachelor’s degree qualification (or higher)
  • Background in Aero Engine Sales or DER/PMA component sales
  • Relationships with Aircraft operators, large amp; small from Turboprop to Turbofan.
  • Enthusiasm for cleantech and sustainability in Aviation.
  • MBA qualification

Benefits

The wage scale or salary range for this position is between $140,000 - $180,000. In addition to the foregoing base compensation, additional compensation and benefits are available to employees and eligible family members (as applicable) including the following:

  • Bonus: Annual discretionary bonuses.
  • Equity: Ability to exercise company stock options
  • Retirement: Eligible to participate in the company's 401(k) Plan, with up to a 4% matching
  • Health Insurance: Employer covers up to 80% of the employee's monthly premiums on medical, dental, and vision.
  • Life Insurance: Basic Life/ADamp;D of up to $50,000 and the option to add on Supplemental Coverage.
  • Short-Term Disability: Up to 60% of your earnings for up to a period of 24 weeks.
  • Long-Term Disability: If your disability extends beyond 180 days, LTD Coverage for up to 60% of your earnings.
  • Paid Time Off: Eligible employees may accrue up to 120 hours per year (15 days) and may borrow up to 40 hours (5 days).
  • Sick Time: Eligible employees may accrue up to 40 hours, per year (5 days)
  • Paid Holidays: 12 observed holidays, per calendar year.
  • The Fly Club: up to $2,000 of reimbursement towards flying lessons to all full-time staff
