Our client, a rapidly growing, MedTech startup ($50M+ revenue) is primed for substantial growth and actively seeking an IT Security Director to establish and implement security policy whilst overseeing an internal IT support team. This role reports directly to the Head of Technology and involves overseeing a small team of IT support professionals. Key Responsibilities

• Craft and implement tailored security policies, addressing the needs of our diverse operational landscape, including both internal teams and external contractors.
• Ensure strict adherence to SOC2 and HIPAA compliance standards, with a roadmap towards achieving future certifications.
• Develop and manage comprehensive security training programs, tailored for remote teams, leveraging automated learning platforms to enhance security awareness.
• Implement robust compliance enforcement mechanisms for remote teams, guaranteeing adherence to established security protocols.
• Collaborate closely with leadership teams to seamlessly integrate security practices into daily operations.
• Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to proactively identify vulnerabilities and enact corrective measures.
• Stay abreast of evolving cybersecurity trends and regulatory changes, refining our security strategies accordingly.
• Lead, mentor, and manage an in-house IT support team, ensuring top-tier technical support and customer service.
• Oversee daily IT support operations, including ticket prioritization and resolution, with a focus on efficiency and automation.
• Drive initiatives to optimize IT support processes, enhancing scalability and effectiveness through automation and streamlined workflows.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to understand departmental IT support needs, aligning with organizational objectives and strategies.
• Manage end-to-end IT projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget constraints.
• Keep abreast of emerging IT trends, technologies, and best practices, fostering innovation and enhancing our IT capabilities.
• Act as the primary liaison with external vendors and stakeholders regarding IT support services.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field, accompanied by certifications in cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA).
• Minimum of 8 years of IT management experience, demonstrating expertise in cybersecurity policy development and implementation for globally distributed, remote operations.
• Strong familiarity with SOC2 and HIPAA compliance requirements.
• Proven track record in managing and mentoring IT support/system admin teams, fostering a positive work environment and promoting professional growth.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of effectively conveying complex security concepts to diverse, non-technical audiences.
