Job Description

We have expanded Production at our SHAKOPEE, MN FACILITY and with this expansion comes new opportunities. We are looking for a Production Scheduler amp; Administrator to join our team.

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this unique role will be responsible for ensuring smooth amp; efficient production operations, while balancing the demands of customers, resources and internal processes to achieve business objectives effectively. This role also provides administrative support in the areas of human resources, safety and facilities.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer orders, production capacity, and inventory levels. Ensure schedules are realistic and achievable, taking into account production constraints and lead times.
  • Coordinate with different departments, such as production, procurement, and logistics, to allocate resources effectively, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to meet production schedules.
  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to ensure availability for production while minimizing excess inventory and stock-outs.
  • Serve as a liaison between different departments, communicating production schedules, changes, and priorities effectively to ensure alignment and coordination.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as lean manufacturing, to drive efficiency, quality, and cost reduction in production operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of production schedules, resource utilization, and performance metrics. Prepare regular reports and analysis for management review.
  • Work closely with the Director, People amp; Culture Assist to assist with onboarding of new employees, document management, and other HR related administrative duties as required.
  • Perform administrative duties in support of BE’s Health amp; Safety Program (meeting minutes, workplace inspections, incident investigations etc.)
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

WHAT YOU HAVE:

  • 2+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or related role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Post secondary education in a related field (college diploma, certificate etc.) business administration, operations management or a similar field preferred.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency using production planning software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • You are legally able to work in the USA.
  • Solid and proficient use of the English language both written amp; verbal.

  • You know how to keep yourself organized and manage your time effectively with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • You have a keen eye for detail and accuracy with your work, specifically when managing production schedules and documentation.
  • You are flexible and can effectively handle changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment with little stress.
  • You are an excellent communicator and know how to build solid and effective relationships with others.
